Why does Des Moines lack Groceries.

   I need to apologize for my writing in this entry. I am sick and tired...

   It was grocery time once again. We needed to hit Target as well, so we went to Ankeny. (We don't grocery shop at Target because they don't really have enough.)

   We ended up going to Hy-Vee, assuming they would carry more than the dreaded Dahl's near our house. (ick) But once again we were very disappointed. They didn't even carry fresh potatoes, they were moldy! In addition we haven't been able to find, and still cannot find poblano peppers.

   If this trip was not enough, both Target and Hy-Vee had shopping carts scattered throughout the exits. I am sure some fire code was being broken at both places.  

   We figured out today, that we would actually save time driving to Minnesota once a month and stocking up on groceries from Byerly's, than we would going grocery shopping here in Des Moines between Dahl's, Hy-Vee, and Gateway Market. Unbelievable!
